While the mind sees the outside world as a source of anxiety, the body receives the same information simply as life happening.
Like a fish perceives water: sustaining but also kind of irrelevant. Whatever’s happening, water is always water.
Awareness of the inner space of the body gives you breathing room. There’s no more need to experience the external world as at odds with—or even separate from—yourself.
Since the body knows what to do in every moment, the mind can let go and enjoy the ride. The occasional flap of the tail, and the ocean does the rest.
