The residual distress of early trauma trapped in your body is what prevents you from coming all the way into your body.
On the other hand, all current distress comes from not being able to settle into your body and make yourself at home (reside) there.
It’s a lifetime’s conundrum: avoiding distress perpetuates distress.
The solution is to allow the petty muted distresses of the present to give over to the full-blown, life-threatening distress of the past.
Only then can the ruptures in the body—or between body and Soul—be healed. Distress then become a thing of the past.
“avoiding distress perpetuates distress.”
Exactly. Oftentimes the most distressing times are when you keep avoiding what you fear will be distressing situations. But when you just dive in and get into things you felt you don’t want to do, it’s not so bad and you wonder why you were so keen on avoiding the scenario.
I’ve been enjoying your embodiment musings. Short and to the point.
Interesting that you surfaced for this particular one, as i was thinking of using alien abduction imagery for the artwork before I settled on a horror movie instead.
Hmm interesting indeed. I guess my alien-spidey-sense was tingling.
